About “The Wall’s Embrace” The Wall’s Embrace is a powerful documentary, narrated by Jimmy Buffett, that explores the psychology behind the Vietnam Veterans Memorial's enduring power to heal. Most Americans who know anything about the Vietnam War know that U.S. servicemen returned to hostility, blame and rejection. What many do not know is how The Wall has helped so many of them heal from the emotional scars they suffered, or why it continues to deeply affect people who visit now, nearly 4 decades later. “The Wall’s Embrace” Trailer: https://youtube.com/watch?v=SQlHVoNXE28 ***************************************
About “Blood Road” The mysteries surrounding her father's death in the Vietnam war lead ultra-endurance mountain biker Rebecca Rusch on an emotional journey as she pedals 1200 miles of the Ho Chi Minh trail. 01/23/2019 - 01/24/2019 - Understanding First Responders: Tools for Effective Treatment: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
First Responders (Police, Firefighters, EMS, Corrections, Dispatch, etc.) comprise a very unique sub-culture of our society. The daily challenges faced by First Responders create an unimaginable amount of stress on their bodies, minds, and families. These challenges also create an “Us vs. Them” mentality which is often seen as guarded or “closed” to conventional therapeutic practices. The traditional approaches to the treatment and evaluation can fall short when working with First Responders. Attend this seminar to learn how you can adapt your therapeutic approach to help First Responders achieve more successful outcomes. In this training, you will develop confidence in your ability to understand the different cultures of the First Responder world as well as understand how to develop rapport and trust. You will learn how to compassionately and effectively work with First Responders who have experienced multiple traumatic events and prolonged trauma exposure over a career riddled with critical incidents. $299.00 per person, $349.00 per person after 1/10, $379.00 on the day with space permitting. https://www.cirstrategies.com/seminars/understanding-first-responders?fbclid=IwAR2xgpDPKS_6twoxeiUWi5WjLoaijq6_IAZ6RYfXoF2ofOPhDQHk9C0t-M0
